The AZUME Ceramic rice cooker

By 06-03-2017

Rice is eaten in all countries, but it is not in every country equally delicious. The reason for this is not so much the rice itself, but the way it is prepared. Usually, this happens in a stainless steel pan, which does not do justice to the taste of the rice. An electric rice cooker is a better option. But if you only eat rice every now and then, you might not want to have another device with a plug in your kitchen.

The AZUME Ceramic rice cooker was designed especially for these people. As a matter of fact, cooking rice in the AZUME is easy and the result is really yummy.

Designer Ben Oostrum was inspired by the traditional Asian way of cooking in ceramics. Ben: “Rice is often an underrated side dish. I want to help people to cook rice that’s really delicious.”

You cook the rice briefly in the AZUME and then leave it steaming in the pot for some time. What you get is rice that’s amazingly fluffy and tasty.
