360° BRNDWR #2
Viewmaster Projects presents the second edition of the art project ‘360° BRNDWR’. This is a four-sided video art work on the top floor of the 25 meters high tower of the Brandweerkazerne (fire station) in the Capucijnenstraat 21 in Maastricht
The second episode of 360° BRNDWR, entitled ‘Inland Territories’, is created by Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács. They present a moving image of the various terrestrial climate zones, such as the jungle, the Alps, an Arctic ocean and a forest in the dunes reminiscent of Ruysdael. The iconic landscapes are seamlessly connected with each other.
‘Inland Territories’ is an artistic continuation of Broersen & Lukacs’ work ‘Les Zones Terrestres’ (2013), a space in which the panorama, printed on wood, closes in the spectator entirely. In ‘Inland Territories’ this landscape is turned inside out, set in motion and transformed to the public space.
