Bauhaus& the TextielLab – Saskia Noor van Imhoff

By 15-09-2019

The TextielMuseum used the Bauhaus’ 100-year anniversary as an opportunity to invite four artists to produce new pieces for the museum’s collection in the TextielLab. Koen Taselaar, Krijn de Koning, Marijn van Kreij and Saskia Noor van Imhoffused the high- and low-tech possibilities in the TextielLab to shape their ideas, which were inspired by the Bauhaus.

In her installation #+38.00, Saskia Noor van Imhoff was inspired by the modernist Meisterhäuser van Walter Gropius from 1925-26 and nature around another building, the Kaufmann House in Palm Springs (Californië) by architect Richard Neutra from 1946.
