Z33 – Oasis Of Friction
“We presented Z33 (House for Contemporary Art, Design & Architecture) as an ‘Oasis of Friction’. ‘Oasis’ stands for an oasis in the urban periphery, everything except a white cube, a place to wonder about the world outside. ‘Friction’ is about confronting the visitor, the field of tension when different disciplines come together, to think different, to form other perspectives, to break free from traditions and dogma’s.
To include all ages, Z33 offers an educational programme which helps children to reflect on modern culture by posing playful questions, accompanied with diversified illustrations. Every upcoming exhibition, we ask different upcoming illustrators.
This results in plenty of variety in content and style, while building a strong, recognizable brand identity. We designed an educational flyer for children (or their parents in case they can’t read yet), a treasure map, collectable art stickers, posters and socials. The set of stickers encourage children to reflect on the artworks. The treasure map is filled with educational assignments and a colouring page. In this way, children can play, experiment, interact and reflect on the artworks in the exhibition.”
