“The beauty of living organic matter versus artificial everyday material is what drives me when creating my still lifes. I especially draw my inspiration from nature: living, growing, always innovative and transformative.”

“I usually begin with sketching ideas. I start with an idea that I would like to make, then I go looking for the props, materials and colors. It sometimes happens that I first find a beautiful spot in a landscape which appeals to me because of its shape or the color that it already has. That’s what I connect with my idea. I enhance the already present color – I create, for example, contrasts with my additions. Composing is a very intuitive and instinctive process.”

Series ‘Transitory still life’
The focus in this series is the study of the interaction between plant material and artificial objects. The contrast between them creates an alienating feeling.

Series ‘Symbiosis’
In this series parts of plants and dolls are connected with one another and start interacting. They symbolize the close coexistence of two organisms of different species.
