Bauhaus& TextielLab – Krijn de Koning

By 13-09-2019

The TextielMuseum used the Bauhaus’ 100-year anniversary as an opportunity to invite four artists to produce new pieces for the museum’s collection in the TextielLab. Koen Taselaar, Krijn de Koning, Marijn van Kreij and Saskia Noor van Imhoffused the high- and low-tech possibilities in the TextielLab to shape their ideas, which were inspired by the Bauhaus.

The engine room of the old 19th century wool fabric factory of Chr. Mommers, now the museum, is the backdrop for the site specific installation by visual artist Krijn de Koning. In his work De Koning deals with the question how architectural spaces can be experienced.
