De Halve Waarheid (The Half Truth)

By 28-09-2017

One Week About Graphic Matters by curator Graphic Matters

Are you fed up with one-sided media coverage? The Half Truth delivers a solution! Pro- and con arguments of familiar issues become visible instantly. The editors of The Half Truth are set to create your pamphlet too. All live and direct! From riso printing to radio Wobtit.

Breda’s hottest newsroom starts as an exhibition of 12 riso posters made by six duo’s of artists and writers. Together they visualize the pros and cons of current dilemmas. The arguments are so damn good that the dilemma’s never get resolved and the only thing left for you to do is to buy these limited prints to hang over your bed.

Every weekend the editors of The Half Truth are present at Graphic Matters and pamphlets are printed on-site. Under the expert guidance of Wobby.club you can print pamphlets yourself with a Risograph (stencil) printer. A pamphlet is always printed on both sides, a pro on one side and a con on the other side. You are responsible for the distribution of the pamphlet. The opposite messages spread confusion and instigate debate outside of your trusted social media bubble.

The editors of The Half Truth are artists Jan Hamstra, Jeroen de Leijer, Maia Matches, Bobbi Oskam, Jip Piet, Steppie Lloyd Trumpstein and writers Anton Dautzenberg, Joke Hermsen, Ted van Lieshout, Nick J. Swarth, Christiaan Weijts and Micha Wertheim.

This Sunday Graphic Matters will transform into a radio station! Visitors can come listen (and see) Radio Wobtit at the festival location between 15:00 an 17:00 (for free). It’s also possible to check out the live broadcast via Wobbys Facebook page.
