DEMO – Design in Motion Festival

By 06-11-2019

On 7 November 2019, Design in Motion (DEMO) shows for 24 hours on end the best motion design of international and national designers on all 80 digital screens in Amsterdam Central Station. It is the first exhibition ever that shows this young art form on such a large scale. DEMO is an initiative of Studio Dumbar (part of Dept) in collaboration with Exterion Media NL.

DEMO not only shows the best motion work of today, it offers a festival experience that is not the same for one moment. The motion design is played on the screens in a choreography; the entire space of the station is transformed into one large moving work of art. Amsterdam CS turns on 7 November into a free and publicly accessible exhibition space.

The exhibition includes work by: Anna Kulachek (RU) Balmer Hählen (CH), Mirko Borsche (DE), Kenny Brandenberger (CH), Gilles de Brock (NL), Jonathan Castro (PE), Ines Cox (BE), DBXL (NL), Hansje van Halem (NL), Hort (DE), Merijn Hos (NL), Roosje Klap (NL), Eike König (DE), Lamm & Kirch (DE), Lennarts & de Bruijn (NL), Sascha Lobe (DE), Xavier Monney (CH), Mucho (ES), Muir McNeil (UK), North (UK), Offshore Studio (CH), OK-RM (UK), Plus Murs (FR), Nejc Prah (US), Hassan Rahim (US), Random Studio (NL), The Rodina (NL), Bas Rogiers (BE), Spassky Fischer (FR), Spin (UK), Studio Moniker (NL), Studio Feixen (CH), Thomas Traum (UK), Anthony Velen (CH), Zach Lieberman (US), Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten Den Haag, Willem de Kooning Academie Rotterdam, Design Academy Eindhoven, Emily Carr University Vancouver.
