Driving Dutch Design is the professionalisation and networking programme of ABN AMRO, Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (BNO) and Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) that helps talented designers get started in the world of entrepreneurship. Hedwich Hooghiemstra is one of them.
“As a designer I’m concerned with the impact of the built environment on the user. The products and spaces I develop create amazement and generate a specific state of mind on a subconscious level. LIUW light objects, Adaptable Seating Collection, plug-in entrances: all based on interaction and invite the user to redefine the space. My work adds social value to a world in search of serenity.”
Hedwich Hooghiemstra (1995) studied at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen in 2016 and graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2018, with the furniture collection ‘Adaptable Seating’.
