Driving Dutch Design – Sarah van Berkom

By 24-08-2022

ONE WEEK ABOUT Driving Dutch Design by curators Patrick Aarts Sen (BNO) and Katja Lucas (DDF)

Driving Dutch Design is the professionalisation and networking programme of ABN AMRO, Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (BNO) and Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) that helps talented designers get started in the world of entrepreneurship. Sarah van Berkom is one of them.

Fond Studio is Sarah van Berkom, graphic designer and specialist in identity, based in Eindhoven. Founded in July 2020, the studio’s mission is to give organizations in the cultural, social and/or sustainable domain more visibility.

Sarah aligns visual identity with inner identity. Because a visual identity is not just a logo: it is the representation of your core values. Organizations that tell their story through a tailored visual identity are seen as more distinctive, authentic and consistent, and therefore have more visibility. Sarah therefore believes that a well thought out visual identity can contribute to the success of an organization.

With Fond Studio she not only creates unique and accessible visual identities, but also builds lasting and substantive relationships with her clients. Personal attention, depth and empathy are therefore the main pillars of the studio. These values are also reflected in the time and attention Sarah puts into her projects, and the collaboration with stakeholders. To get to the heart of the matter, you first have to go into depth together.
