EpilepsieNL
The Royal Epilepsy Fund and the Epilepsy Association Netherlands will from now on continue as one team under the new name EpilepsieNL. One movement with a great urge to innovate and raise more funds. To be able to realise this, Total Design and EpilepsieNL have entered into a long-term partnership with the primary aim of putting an end to uncertainty.
There are 200,000 Dutch people with epilepsy and every year about 11,000 people are diagnosed with the disease. EpilepsieNL wants to be of maximum importance for research, recruitment, informing and meeting people. In order to connect, inform and activate 1 million affected Dutch people.
New identity – Epilepsy disrupts lives
When you have an epileptic seizure, your life is abruptly disrupted. This form of disruption, the stoppage of the totally unexpected, has been captured in a visual way in the design, by translating it into a ‘stretch effect’. The stretch is the translation of what happens to you during an epileptic fit. The world around you goes on, but during an attack life comes to a standstill. The new identity has been tested by doctors and patients and they agree on how epilepsy disrupts life.
