Eugène van Veldhoven

By 21-11-2016

Since 1993 designer Eugène van Veldhoven from The Hague has been active in the world of interior textiles and wallpaper.

His designs – in fact, industrial prototypes – are shown at international fairs (Heimtextil Frankfurt, Design à Board Paris and MoOD/Indigo Brussels). Customers are usually printers, weavers or editors of textile collections. Van Veldhoven specializes in surface treatments: laser cutting and laser engraving, silicone rubber coatings, flock print, relief print, embossing, transfer print, ultrasonic cutting and welding, needle felt and inkjet print.

With the support of the Creative Industry Stimulation Fund, Van Veldhoven has in the second half of 2016 been able to make more time for research and development. For a period of six months, he works every month on a new application of a technique in different workshops. Flock printing technique in Amsterdam, embroidery in Eastern Germany and needling in London. In the spring of 2017 he will present his new work, about which you’ll read more later on.
