Exhibition Dekaloog in Landhuis Stameren
Dekaloog is the collaborative project of Marjon Reiziger and Ab Bol. The project consists of 11 boxes (triptychs) in which the Ten Commandments are depicted in a contemporary way. In these boxes the collages of Marjon Reiziger and the naturalia of Ab Bol come together.
Ab Bol is a graphic designer and owner of Lumen Rotterdam. He is also editor-in-chief of REALmag, a self-discovering magazine about identity, art and science, musician and visual artist. He followed his education at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
Marjon Reiziger tries to extract the essence of a life story and represent it in her collages. The elements, colors and size to be used are attuned to the story of the person. She creates her collage intuitively, using photo material from De Volkskrant, NRC Next and magazines/brochures that interest her.
There are also guest exhibitions by Elbert Mulder and Tilly Heijster.
Elbert Mulder’s pieces are made with a fascination for color, shape and materiality in all its nuances and how they change with the ever-changing daylight. The recycled materials he works with come from industry. These remnants are the basis from which he works, where tactility, form, color and materiality are important. They form his pallet. His design takes place within the framework of reliefs, contrasts, repeating structures, color and alienations.
Each ceramic work of Tilly Heijster is unique. The work is built up manually, worked with engobes and oxides. Partially glazed, to let the natural clay tones come out well. With the clay she experiments with different shades and types, which are mixed together. When rolling out the clay, this results in unusual drawings of earth layers. The structures in her work originate from a collection of tree imprints. This is how she builds up her ceramic objects.
