GLUE amsterdam – Third day report
Report by Aldana Paula Alegre – project manager GLUE
The third day of GLUE is finished! To begin with I had a great breakfast at Hotel Arena and afterwards I got on the bike to hit the design route! First stop at Conservatorium Hotel, participant and HUB, hosting Bernotat&Co in the entrance hall with their fantasy and glowing lamps from Radiolaria collection. An appealing welcoming to this stunning hotel. In a big saloon Lambert Kamps wth a great installation, where he’s presenting different works in the art and design field. For one of his works he’s been investigating and developing it for 15 years, so if I have to choose a word to englobe what he does would definitely be perseverance and uniqueness. Flos is also part of the HUB exhibiting a beautiful lamp designed by Formafantasma.
Second stop at Millten with an outstanding exhibition from Rive Roshan. Ruben de la Rive was at the location making a tour around the place and explaining in detail every part of the work made together with Golnar Roshan. They do really stylish art and design, and for this specific exhibition they made an interesting contemporary intervention perfectly combined with this 17th century building that still has a pure Amsterdam soul on its skin.
Las day of GLUE TV was such a success! New interviewers, new brands, new students, new designers! And I must say I enjoyed it a bit more as half of the interviews were heldet in English, as not being a Dutch speaker was great being able to understand it all!
And to end up with, a dinner served by Oxanan Malevanik at Sweets Hotel. She presented her two services: “Stripservice. Book on porcelain” and #The society of clean plates”, where different topics are approach. A very fun, different and interesting experience, and a great way to start a conversation on things that are needed to be talk about. Jueun Seo, graduated from ArtEZ University, also showed and explained her work based on her life experiences. Such brave women going through hard experiences and transforming it into their own art and design diary.
Just another great day. Let’s get enjoy the very last one!
