Healing Hub – work as a ritual

By 07-04-2017

ONE WEEK ABOUT Dutch Designers in Milan by Connecting the Dots in cooperation with Civica Scuola Interpreti e Traduttori ‘Altiero Spinelli’

The Amsterdam-based concept and design studio D/DOCK showcases, for the first time in Milan, a multidisciplinary installation aimed at alleviating not only your eyes but also your mind: the Healing Hub.

Healing Hub offers an unconventional future vision of the optimal work environment. Four different spaces recreate what resembles a tribal village: a space to work empathically (Community Table), a space to meet and share (Forum), a space to relax (Sensorama), and a space to feel connected and inspired (Energy Lounge). Healing Hub offers a workplace where the day is formed by rituals, transcending the usual relation between work and life.

The exhibition offers the setting of an atypical business hub in which visitors can experience the positive power of a healthy lifestyle and work environment. With Healing Hub, D/DOCK presents to the international public of Milans’ Fuorisalone its Healing Office® concept. Launched back in 2013, the Healing Office® concept offers a solution to the changing needs and disturbed work/life balance of employees through the blending of design, architecture and psychological research. This design concept should allow people to perform better, raise productivity and curb absenteeism, three main focuses of D/DOCK.

This remarkable combination of art installation, dynamic lighting, and healthy food also works perfectly in the tiny corner of the immense warehouse where Healing Hub takes place. If you are wandering in the heart of Ventura Lambrate Design District, let yourself join Healing Hub’s tribe.
