Horribly Delicious
Collectief Soepel has curated the rotating exhibition ‘Horribly Delicious’ for Openluchtmuseum (Netherlands Open Air Museum).This exhibition could be visited until the beginning of 2020 in the Museum’s Canon building. The Canon of the Netherlands is a presentation of the entire history of our country, from ‘dolmen up to the present’.
From concept to museological design to exhibition construction, everything happened under the roof of the collective. In close cooperation with the museum an educational exhibition with a fresh appearance was created.
Horribly Delicious is based on the 10 flavours that originate from the 10 periods of the Canon building. Each of these flavors has been given its own ‘kitchen block’ in which the subject was exhibited in different ways. The unique kitchen blocks are made with three-dimensional tiles from Dtile.
A great opportunity, and a great challenge to carry out such a versatile project. For the concept and the audiovisual components, Collectief Soepel has for the entire project entered into collaboration with photographer and filmmaker Bart Laport.
