IMM cologne – Embracing Exchange
Dutch designers in Cologne
‘Embracing Exchange’ is an exchange program to strengthen cultural relations between German and Dutch designers, policy makers and cultural institutions. As part of the Passagen Interior Design Week, two exhibitions with work by Dutch designers can be seen during the IMM international furniture fair in Cologne (15 to 21 January).
The exhibition ‘Material Designers’ shows work by Grivec Bros., René Holten, Paul Koenen, José Maase & Mireille Meijs, Dirk Ploos van Amstel, Tanja Schell, Christoph Seyferth, Fabian von Spreckelsen, Daria Biryukova, Anastasia Eggers, Agne Kucerenkaite, Woodjai Lee and Pao Hui Kao. The selection was made by Maurer United Architects and Leonne Cuppen (Yksi Connect).
The work can subsequently be seen at Yksi Expo in Eindhoven from January 22 through March 18 – www.yksiexpo.nl.
The exhibition ‘Southern Treasures’ presents the best graduation work from the Academy of Visual Arts Maastricht, selected by MAFAD Design Team. The participating designers are: Jessica den Hartog, Marleen Boot, Meggie Borgers, Iris Claessens, Cas Driessen, Ghislaine Ortmans, Djillie Roes, Anna Davies, Henrike Altes, Miriam Hair and Alice Schiavone.
