The winning Inside out There ArchiTent by Jasper Manders is a rapidly inflatable 2-person festival tent, which hardly needs guy chords and stakes . As the tent can be opened on both sides, the air circulation ensures refreshing. Another nice aspect: you can lie down, sit and stand in it. Furthermore, it is possible to switch a series of tents together so that a common interior space arises.
BNA x Lowlands
The ArchiTenten Challenge – an initiative of the Branchevereniging Nederlandse Architectenbureaus (BNA) (Trade Association Dutch Architects) in collaboration with Lowlands – is aimed at challenging architecture students and young architects (up to 35 years in particular ) to use their creative talents to design a cool, sustainable and innovative festival camping tent. Lowlands offers the winning ArchiTent a podium to the coolest campers in the Netherlands: the Lowlands camping guests. In addition, Lowlands wants to tackle a festival-issue with the ArchiTenten Challenge: disposable tents that after Lowlands are left in mass and thus provide a huge mountain of non-reusable waste.
