Jhero

By 08-05-2016

The book Jhero presents an overview of the paintings by Jheronimus Bosch and aims to surprise a wide audience with the imaginative power of the works. This unique book designed by Studio Kluif, presents the world of Jheronimus Bosch in many images and anecdotes.

International artists among whom also Dutch and Belgian artists apply their visual language to hold a mirror up to your face in response to the time in which we live, just like Bosch responded to his own time. They change the Tower of Babel into a contemporary hell and The Garden of Earthly Delights into a garden of desire.

Famous people respond to the works of Bosch: Jeroen Krabbé on his naming after Jhero, Alain de Botton on the me culture, Henk van Os on the role of the egg in art, Raf Simons on fashion, Thijs Caspers on winged perverts and Frans de Waal on the bonobo in the work by Bosch, Herman Pleij on love and lust, Louise Fresco on our fragile planet and Joost Zwagerman on abhorrence.
