Koos Breen
Koos Breen is interested in the possible physicality of graphic design. In his work he expresses a fascination with form and its potentialities. He holds a degree in graphic design but enjoys experimenting with its boundaries.
He can use graphic design as a starting point of a project, but may as well move into several different practices related to autonomous expression and fine arts. Koos creates Form and often this Form dictates his work’s Content instead of the other way around. Its conception is constituted by formal research but can turn out to become an artistic endeavour.
His method of working is called ‘associative morphology’ and can generally be viewed as a quite straightforward mode of working: whatever one form reminds him of directly inspires him to create the next MORF FROM FORM FROM MORF.
