Mixing the Dots Opening Cocktail

By 04-04-2017

ONE WEEK ABOUT Dutch Designers in Milan by Connecting the Dots in cooperation with Civica Scuola Interpreti e Traduttori ‘Altiero Spinelli’

The lights are up and the tables are set for a new project to open its doors. A new way to see language – this is the fil rouge for ‘Design Language’, the name of this project. Connecting the Dots mixes unprecedented pieces of design with language to create a connection between what designers produce and what their products communicate. The same thread will inform the participants of the Opening Cocktail Party organised by Connecting the Dots.

A touch of red is the dress code for this event – a colour that expresses passion, the same passion that designers, journalists, translators (and event managers) put in their everyday work. Wear your red dancing shoes, your favourite red dress or your sexiest red lipstick. No matter the touch of red you’ll be wearing, the important thing is to be ready for having fun. And it doesn’t matter how many parties will light up Milan tonight, because the real party is the one at Civica Scuola Interpreti e Traduttori ‘Altiero Spinelli’. Contacts to share, people to meet, pieces of design that take the floor and tell you their stories, about their trips to reach Milan and about the creativity behind their creation.

The music will be too loud, the drinks too warm and the people too noisy – perfect circumstances to make you feel at home. You can hit the dancefloor with the greatest and latest funky and afrobeat hits by DjMulat and DjDeleau. The hottest Netherlands electromusic will make you shake. Is all this still not enough? Chef Martin is preparing everything necessary to satisfy every palate. Zucchinis that become Chinese noodles, soup in a glass, and loads of beer and wine.

Warm drinks, lousy food, too much noise? Welcome home!
