Nearest Neighbour
Nearest Neighbour is a design studio for visual communication based in ’s-Hertogenbosch and founded in 2014 by Guus Verschuur and Mark van den Heuvel. The studio originated through their mutual affection for typography, creative concepts and tactility in arts and crafts. Nearest Neighbour focusus on a wide range of clients and media, in the public, private and cultural sector, both large and small.
Having started from a background in printed matter, such as poster and book design, the studio later began to develop their work in the direction of visual identitiy, branding and campaigns, also exploring online possibilities.
“We approach a new project by taking it apart and find its bare essentials, only to rebuild it in a new way. The result is often distinguished by a conceptual and typographic streak: clear, bold and straightforward.”
