Ode to Imagination
In 2013 Theater aan het Spui decided to blaze a new trail in the communication together with the Hague designers Gwenda Jakobs and Jonathan Looman of creative agency Since Today. Everything had to be smarter, more effective and closer to the core values and objectives of Theater aan het Spui. The pioneering role that the theatre has been playing at an artistic level for some time now should also be recognizable in communication. The brand expression as an extension of the artistic vision.
The highly individual visual language that was developed over the past four years is completely different from the visual language of other theatres. With artists like Henri Matisse, Swip Stolk and Willem Sandberg in mind the visual language and the communication strategy have been refined and the typography in combination with abstract color compositions got the leading role. The result is a bright and striking imagery that excites the public and gives space to the imagination.
