Park Pavilion at De Hoge Veluwe National Park
The new multifunctional public building in De Hoge Veluwe National Park opened on Friday June 21st 2019.
The building, inspired by the idea of a contemporary country house, is the park’s new core location, the place where visitors meet and experience the beauty of nature, art and architecture. The welcoming building accommodates a restaurant, an information desk, reception areas and the park shop. It replaces the old park restaurant that could no longer meet the requirements of the 600.000 people who currently visit the park annually.
The design is the work of the Monadnock/De Zwarte Hond architect combination. H+N+S Landschapsarchitects was responsible for the landscape design. The light design was made in close collaboration with lighting designers Beersnielsen and the furniture was designed by interior designer Bart Vos in collaboration with Piet Hein Eek.
