Pontsteiger is the winning design from a multiple architectural assignment from 2007. After 2009, many years of disruption followed due to the crisis. In 2014, the Pontsteiger project was redesigned for new clients, with an integrated construction team, a customized program and a different construction and building methodology.
This building could fit into all categories, because the design targets all scales. The public space continues throughout the project and creates a stimulating, livable and coherent environment, for many more people than just the residents of the project. The individual homes are designed for the view and the living experience. The shape of the building is a translation of this, with many homes where people love to live (downstairs: where you experience the city, upstairs: where the penthouse feeling dominates).
