Raw Color x IKEA
IKEA and Eindhoven-based design duo Raw Color have joined forces to present the new limited TESAMMANS collection. TESAMMANS is all about bringing colour together, characteristic of Raw Color’s designs. The collection consists of furniture, textiles and home accessories with unexpected colour combinations in vibrant hues. The items have the typical Raw Color signature with abstract shapes, clean lines and provide every interior with a colour explosion. The collection will be presented for the first time during Paris Fashion Week – from 29 February to 3 March. TESAMMANS will be available from April in selected stores.
Raw Color
Design studio Raw Color was founded in 2008 by Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach, who met at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Their designs, which feature unexpected colour combinations, have been exhibited in various museums around the world. The duo is known for their unconventional colour palettes and their ability to make unexpected connections between colours, materials and shapes.
Interaction of colour
The design duo’s vision is that a single colour lacks its power and needs other colours to reach its full potential. For example, combining a striking cobalt blue with a soft shade of yellow creates interaction and then the colours reinforce each other. The decorative cushions have contrasting block and stripe patterns that have a coordinated look despite the many colours. The TESAMMANS products are not only beautiful, they are also functional: the storage unit in soft pink, red and mustard yellow offers space for several books and desk accessories and is easy to move thanks to its handy castors. The mobile is an abstract work of art with playful and sophisticated pendants dancing in the air. The curved shapes catch the light and move subtly.
