Sheltersuit Label

By 22-03-2022

In the presence of international and national fashion press, Sheltersuit Label presented its first collection last Paris Fashion Week in Palais de Tokyo. The new high-end streetwear label was founded by Bas Timmer, founder of the Dutch non-profit organisation Sheltersuit Foundation and creative director of the Label.

Sheltersuit Label’s first collection consists of menswear, womenswear and genderfluid items made from dead-stock fabrics from Parisian fashion houses, including Chloé. Bas worked with Chloé for the first time last year. At the time, he designed Sheltersuits, backpacks and jackets for the fashion house, the proceeds of which went to Sheltersuit Foundation. This collaboration prompted him to set up his own label to support the Foundation. Based on the idea of ‘people helping people’, Sheltersuit Label wants to help people who desperately need it. Part of the proceeds of the Label go to the Foundation, to help homeless people and refugees worldwide.

Currently, Sheltersuit Foundation, in cooperation with international aid organisations, is on a mission in Ukraine to provide protective Sheltersuits against the cold.
