Sino-Dutch Design Talk
On the occasion of the Shanghai Design Week 2016, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai together with Fasheng.org organized the event ‘Sino-Dutch Design Talk’.
Through Chinese graphic designer Yu Zhao (The Hague), who runs the DDD channel on Weixin, Dutch Design Daily was asked to provide input for this event. Three video presentations were selected from 16 nominations of the Dutch Design Awards 2015 and 2016. These represented the diversity of the design practice in the Netherlands. Also, Dutch and Chinese designers from different design disciplines were invited as guest speakers.
The presentation session was streamed live at Fasheng.org. All invitees then had the opportunity to meet and greet speakers at the closing social mixer. The event was co-hosted by European men’s fashion brand Suitsupply and took place in its spectacular Shanghai mansion store.
