Last Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, the first Social Design Pocket Calendar was launched, edition 2022. A collection of 35 Dutch social designers/agencies. The calendar offers 365 days of inspiring social design projects, surprising design methods and controversial anecdotes. A broad overview of the Dutch design field in the field of social challenges.
The Social Design Pocket Calendar is an initiative of The Social Design Lobby. This is a bottom-up network that came into being during the summer of 2020. In the midst of the pandemic, there seemed to be more social issues than ever, but commissions were dropping for many designers. More than ever, we felt the urge to interpret the power and relevance of our design field’.
With the tear-off calendar, TSDL presents an inspiring example of how social design can be used to tackle social challenges in an easily accessible way. The tear-off calendar introduces you to the projects and methods of 35 designers and design agencies. For companies, municipalities, organisations, but also for orientation students, this is the ideal way to get acquainted with the Dutch design field.
During Dutch Design Week, the Kade Clubhouse was transformed into the Scheurkalenderfabriek where stories and experiences from the social design field were shared with the public.
