‘Stretch’ voor Karlsson
Clocks brand Karlsson challenged Dutch fashion designer Antoine Peters to reinterpret the wallclock in textile. While thinking of this assignment Peters got inspired by a specific quality which sets textile apart from other materials like plastic, wood or concrete; the possibility to stretch it. Peters integrated this ‘stretching of textile’ with the functionality of the clock. By creating a bulb shaped iron framework and spanning the textile over it, a subtile hour indication comes into being.
Because of the soft material and rounded shape the ‘Stretch’ is countering reverberation and bad acoustics in a space. The bended hands emphasize this distinct curvy shape even more.
The ‘Stretch’ is created for Karlsson and available in the colors white, black and yellow.
