The Plastic Mine

By 04-02-2020

Studio Thier & van Daalen translated factory overproduction plastic waste into an elegant marbled range of home and garden accessories.

They were fascinated by the unique shapes and beautiful bright colours found at a plastic processing factory. They selected the most iconic lumps and then looked as if they were sculptors what they could make out of them. Some lumps are suitable as a side table, other ones as a candle holder, a vessel, a mirror or a wall piece. It is an exciting moment when the marbled pattern reveals itself when the piece is cut it open. This makes every piece unique.
