TypoGraphic mirror tiles

By 04-04-2023

With these tiled mirror objects studio mo man tai shows another take on their ‘mix-and-match’ TypoGraphic mirrors first presented at Object 2023 in Rotterdam.

The resulting simple volumes, made from upcycled leftover acrylic material, are all unique, bright and colourful and can be combined with a composition of similar tiles on the wall. Mo man tai mirrors and objects are 100% made from leftovers collected for us by Pyrasied Xtreme Acrylic.

The pieces of acrylic are cut in-house and collated in a colourful mix with great care for the visual appeal. Instead of throwing away a part because of a tiny scratch or a minor discoloration it may be still used. The designers embrace the resulting aesthetic of consciously and selectively applying leftover material in their work.

[mó, man, tai] (Cantonese) = no problem, Dutch Design label and studio by Ulrike Jurklies and Paul Bas. studio mo man tai strongly believes in cooperation, in a mind-set with no limits, in designing boundless and realizing tangible objects.

‘TypoGraphic mirror tiles’ will be on show at Isola Design District
