Vapour Light

By 27-05-2017

Design studio Thier & van Daalen was established by Iris van Daalen and Ruben after graduating at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2010. They both share a fascination for light, geometric and organic shapes, and the transience of nature.

Thier & van Daalen see it as a challenge to get hold of these phenomena and to abstract and translate them into new designs for lighting, furniture and accessories. The urge to discover can be traced back to their motto: “Don’t take the world for granted.”

By consciously dealing with sources and their surroundings, they want to realize designs that you can cherish and that last long. An example is their new series Vapour Light. The lights can vary in shape, color and intensity and can be altered by the user. The studio recently launched Vapor Light at Ventura Lambrate in Milan.

They also love to work together with traditional craftmen, each with their own specialization, which they apply in their own way. Their project Round Square is a good example.
