Ceramics by Nina Sajet

By 03-10-2015

Nina Sajet: “My amazement at the beauty of the everyday plays an important role in my work. As a designer I try to capture this beauty. By alienating it in a poetic way, a new reality arises. In my world, cages turn into rings, birds become pipes and apples look like pearls.”

“The use of ceramics suits capturing this beauty perfectly. By using molds, reality can be documented and constantly be colored in different ways. When coloring, I rely on my emotions – each new topic asks for experimentation and in this process new methods and techniques arise. In my latest collection – Still Life – diluted red pigments provided the overripe and blighted image I was looking for.”
