The Arnhemse Stockdagen (Arnhem Stock Days), which will be taking place this year from June 25 through June 28, have been expanded with a new location for product design: Industriepark Kleefse Waard (IPKW).
What in 2011 began as a small-scale event for local designers has become a nationwide event that transforms the entire Arnhem town center. Fashion designers from all over the country will open their garment storage facilities. For four days, the Modekwartier (Fashion District), the Stadhuishal and the downtown streets of Arnhem will be dominated by stock and designer items. Product design has from the start been one of the spearheads of the Arnhemse Stockdagen, but with the new location this assortment is being presented in an even more powerful way.
Sophie Schijf (general manager): “For some designers, the stock sale is a testing ground for a new brand, a spot where they can experience the people’s response. For others, it’s a way to do the cleaning up in the crowded storage room. With the Kleefse Waard as a new location and no less than 93 registrations, we have reached another fantastic milestone.”
