Breathing textile module

By 18-01-2016

With the high pace of modern life we tend to be in active mode most of the time. Many people have trouble unwinding when they come home after a busy day. For them, Desiree van der Gracht designed this breathing textile module.

The module consists of three elements: an airbag that mimics a breathing pattern, ambient lighting, and a controlling device. All three are integrated in a fabric specially designed by Desiree. The textile module can be integrated in various products for the interior, such as a cocoon chair, a room divider or even a total space.

For the future, Desiree sees opportunities to implement the concept outside of the home domain as well, for example in healthcare, hospitality and offices.
