Broeinest

By 18-02-2015

Broeinest, the flex space for (interior) architects, designers and creative entrepreneurs, has recently been put into use officially. Broeinest offers free flex spaces in an area of more than seven hundred square meters in the Glasgebouw (Glass Building) at Strijp-S in Eindhoven.

Depending on the need of the users, the space can serve as workplace, meeting place, studio, showroom for designs and innovative materials, workshop and presentation space. In addition to flex spaces, Broeinest offers an extensive materials library that can be accessed immediately for the purpose of objects such as mood boards and scale models.

The design competition for the layout of Broeinest is won by Atelier to the Bone (AttB) from Eindhoven. AttB: “Our design is inspired by the Philips storage racks that used to be in the building. It consists of a multifunctional piece of furniture made of computer controlled machined sheet material. It is easy to use and can be easily assembled and dismantled. ”

Broeinest is an initiative of Baars & Bloemhoff, supplier of decorative sheeting materials and carrier materials. Baars & Bloemhoff has five branches across the country and carries an assortment of over 2000 different decorative materials and decors.  Broeinest is realized in cooperation with Interface, Forbo Flooring, DRT Gietvloeren, Modular Lighting, Bulo, Spectrum Meubelen, Sphinx Tegels and Stichting Robin Hood (for the catering section).
