Fietsy – Ride like the Dutch
Amsterdam-based design office Grrr introduces Fietsy. Fietsy is a day trip by e-bike for a new generation of international tourists. A group that prefers sustainability, activities off the beaten track, and the like-a-local feeling.
Fietsy consists of a network of e-bike rental services, a website and an app. Grrr cooperates closely with local bike shops and local people with a lot of knowledge of the region. Tourists can easily and quickly book their electric bicycle through the website. They receive a voucher by e-mail which they can trade in at the participating bike shops.
In the Fietsy app the tourist can then choose from unique cycling tours compiled by locals. The app will then guide them along highlights and secret tips in the region around Amsterdam. Fietsy offers a typically Dutch experience, with the convenience of an electric bicycle: “Ride like the Dutch, without sweating too much.”
Fietsy is a startup and currently still in full development. The expectation is that the first Fietsy’s can be booked in the summer of 2016.
