C’est Vrai ou C’est FAUX?

By 01-07-2015

The Arnhem-based MAISON the FAUX was launched in 2013, after designers Joris Suk, Tessa de Boer and Hans Hutting graduated from the Department of Fashion Design at ArtEZ School of the Arts in Arnhem.

This is the third time that MAISON the FAUX presents a show during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The collection C’est Vrai ou C’est FAUX? is based on the themes of transparency and authenticity in fashion. The collection shows a mix of high-street and couture references, including tracksuits pretending to be couture pieces. Moreover, through the use of prints, trompe l’oeuil effects are frequently applied ensuring that the printed embroidery, for instance, cannot be distinguished from the real one.

In November 2014, MAISON the FAUX opened the doors of its fashion house with a livestream from the workshop on its website. An exclusive selection from the collection, consisting of a bag, scarf and tracksuit, is directly after the show available in a limited edition through the website. The remaining items will be presented in March during Paris Fashion Week.
