Fairy tale ‘Prins’
Eva Staal (23) from Haren is the winner of the Minerva Academy Award for Design 2015. The jury unanimously nominated her graduation project, the fairy tale ‘Prins’ (Prince).
Eva: “My fairy tales strip/picture book Prins originates from my interest in fairy tales. I find them appealing because almost everybody knows the stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Cinderella. The fact that these characters and their stories are so widely known, gives me a lot of freedom to reinterpret them. That’s why Prins has not become a standard fairy tale book…”
