Publishing house Bananafish
Bananafish is a new Dutch publishing house for classic and contemporary literature. It concerns books whose promoters have been surprised that they – although classics or absolute bestsellers – have never been translated into Dutch.
Studio Laucke Siebein was commissioned to develop the visual identity of the publishing house and the design for the first series of eight books. In the meantime, the first four titles are now available in the bookstore. Four more titles will appear in September of this year.
The usual promotional flyer used by publishing houses to approach the bookstore have been replaced by the extensive catalogue of new publications ‘Vreemd genoeg’ (Oddly enough) which contains essays about and excerpts from the respective books.
