ONE WEEK ABOUT Graphic Design Festival Breda by GDFB

“Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I might remember. Involve me and I will understand.” This ancient Chinese saying is the motto of Trapped in Suburbia, graphic design agency from The Hague. To these designers, the public is not just a target group, but an important and active part of the story. Especially for the 3sec. gallery of Graphic Design Festival Breda they designed an experimental interaction between analog and digital, image and sound.

Auto Play is a series of sound posters responding to passing cars. During the festival they are on view in the 3sec.gallery in Chassé Parking, the only gallery that is open 24/7. The 3sec. gallery is an initiative of the Graphic Design Festival Breda in collaboration with the parking company of the city of Breda. The gallery name refers to the time that the posters have to leave an impression: you drive past them in 3 seconds. So, in this drive-by gallery you can see 50 posters in 3 seconds. Of course, you can also get out of the car or walk back to watch as well as listen to the posters from closer by!
