Temporary Fashion Museum
The start of the second season of the Temporary Fashion Museum took place on February 12 in Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam. The Temporary Fashion Museum enables visitors to relate to fashion in various ways. From debate and reflection on substantive issues trying on and even purchasing fashion. During this second season, new presentations are introduced, including:
Precious – The exhibition ‘Precious’, curated by Angelique Westerhof, presents a unique selection of perfume bottles.
Assemblage – In the video installation ‘Assembly, Archive Intersections No. 5’, Joke Robaard shows how literature, newspapers and books are used in fashion photography in a variety of ways.
The Now SS16 – Jop van Bennekom and Penny Martin select the iconic garments for the Spring-Summer season 2016.
View on Fashion – Changing presentations by designers, photographers, theorists and makers with an innovative perspective on the reality of fashion. In the month of March it is fashion designer and ‘fashion innovator Pauline van Dongen’s turn. She combines experimental, high-tech materials with traditional techniques.
