Clogs

By 15-12-2015

Lex Pott (1985) applies a raw and intuitive working method. In his work he returns to the origin of the materials he uses most often: wood, stone and metal. He does not hide his designs in layers but reduces them to their essence.

The clog or wooden shoe has been around for hundreds of years and is a product that represents the Dutch culture. In all those years, the visual aspects of the wooden shoe have hardly changed. Lex Pott has tried to give the wooden shoe a new, contemporary look, which resulted in a number of versions.

The appearance of Lex Pottt’s clogs is much more minimalist. As a result, they fit in a lot better with our contemporary fashion demands. Lex is currently in conversation with an artisan clog maker. He hopes that the clogs will soon be taken into production.
