Het Wilde Oog

By 10-12-2015

Het Wilde Oog (The Wild Eye) – artist duo Hans Lemmerman and Inge van Run – has since 2000 portrayed women in traditional costumes.

Women from places like Arnemuiden, Bunschoten-Spakenburg, Staphorst and Urk who through their clothing express their connectedness with the region, are soon to be a thing of the past. Corrie, Hendrikje and Wijmpje Koelewijn from Spakenburg show that they stand in a tradition and at the same time have the courage to open up to modern art. Het Wilde Oog photographs them together with visual arts, architecture and design, from Zwolle to Vlissingen and from Rotterdam to Enschede.
