VAN ESCH

By 04-04-2015

“I graduated from the Department of Fashion Design of the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design in 2014. My designs are always very abstract and aesthetical and arise from collages that I make. In this way, I can continue playing with various compositions in a very graphic way.

During my studies I did a three-month internship at Peter Pilotto in London, where I gained a lot of experience in pattern drawing. After my internship, I started my graduation collection ‘Rémagine’, which was inspired by the work of the same name and the Colour Circles by the Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. I showed the collection during the FASHIONCLASH Festival 2014 in Maastricht.

After that, I was selected for Lichting ’14 on account of my graduation collection. This meant that I along with thirteen other graduates from The Netherlands could show my collection during Fashion Week Amsterdam. And then I was also selected as one of the Fontanel Young Talents 2014.

After my graduation, I started my own label VAN ESCH, of which the ss’15 collection is now in the Labels fashion store in Sittard.”
