WT’s Perambulating Bookshop
This year, Werkplaats Typografie took a slightly extended route to the LA Art Book Fair. Travelling from Houston to Los Angeles, WT’s Perambulating Bookshop stopped at various bookshops, art spaces and scenic spots.
This journey raised the question if books and their distribution can be seen as an active form, starting points for swapping and selling books, meeting people and discovering places. What does it mean to move outside of the regular circles of distribution and consumption?
Throughout the LA Art Book Fair, from 12 to 14 February at The Geffen Contemporary (MOCA), the Perambulating Bookshop carried on exploring these questions, extending into gaps, halfway spots and in-between spaces.
