Reinforced Light Object

Hans van Sinderen & Fabian Briels

Product | Material

Analyzing the qualities of reinforced glass, Fabian and Hans got inspired by the encapsulated mesh core that creates the reinforcement. It can give any fragile or soft material more control and strength. This led to the use of silicone and LED-lights, both having similar fragile qualities, as the starting point of this process. Combining these materials and principles led to Reinforced Light Object, which can adapt to its environment. It gives the user endless possibilities for the placement of the product. The flexibility of the material creates an flowing surface, an effect which is further enhanced by the LED light source.
