Designers Studio Tast and contemporary art space MU, both from Eindhoven, have launched GoTo, a drawing robot to learn the art of programming. GoTo unlocks the creative potential of programming for everyone. GoTo is a drawing robot with an app. Attached to a pencil, brush or your favorite fineliner, GoTo can be used everywhere, and on almost any surface.
Mitchell Jacobs, founder of Studio Tast: “As designers for education we thought: Why don’t we use digital art to make learning how to code a creative and dynamic process as well? Programming is a skill that requires creativity and the drive to experiment. In addition to this, learning to write code is often perceived as learning a vague language. By adding a physical component, learning how to code is made tangible. Apart from that drawing with an interactive robot is a lot of fun!”
