About Buro Berger
Our distinct taste is the guiding principle of Buro Berger. We work with young, renowned designers and artists who do not stop at the submission of a design. We collaborate with them from start to finish. This results in contemporary, special and high-quality products that last a lifetime. And you want them to last a lifetime because they are so unique and beautiful. That is Berger.
Lex Pott – Atol
Atol is a candleholder made of glass and designed by Lex Pott. The candleholder is mouth blown in The Netherlands and each piece is unique in shape and color. The Atol candleholder series of Lex Pott originated from a fascination with glass – in particular, the moment when the glass is hot and can be moulded into various shapes. Lex Pott made tests in plaster and balloons to mimic the plastic glass. The objects consist of a hand-blown sphere which is then pressed by hand. This ensures a plastic and natural shape, as the liquid glass guarantees a perfect surface tension. These candleholders are intended as centerpieces that remain beautiful and even when not in use. The design language is inspired by the plasticity and sculptural value of traditional hand-formed glass. All objects are unique and blown by hand in Leerdam in the Netherlands. It is as if the candles are pressed into the shape of the glass. As a result, the creation process and the final form come together harmoniously. Every piece is unique.
Nynke Tynagel – The Crib Nativity Scene
Nynke’s fascination with Christmas has been translated into “ The Crib” a modern nativity scene. Her signature is clearly reflected in the language of form and the use of colour. Working with icons, which typifies Nynke’s signature, has a clear translation in this beautiful work. It’s an object to exhibit in your home every year during the Christmas season.
